In these happy days, the People’s Government of Keqiao District Shaoxing City and the Miss Model of the World International Organization agreed to jion hands in the international fashion industry on this occasion of the 30th anniversary of the opening of China Textile City, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the founding of Miss Model of the World, presenting a beautiful feast with Shaoxing characteristics and fashion classics to hundreds of millions of viewers around the world, in order to improve the popularity and reputation of China Textile City in the international market, also to further establish the new image of Keqiao District of Shaoxing who is building the global fashion textile capital.

Miss Model of the World was founded in 1988 in Istanbul, Turkey, a world-famous fashion city. In the past 30 years, it has attracted more than 40 professional models from more than 100 countries and regions around the world. Just in China in the last decade or so, nearly around 8,000 professional contestants have entered the international fashion stage through the platform of the Miss Model of the World Contest. Miss Model of the World Contest was introduced to China by the Ministry of Culture in May 2004 which has successfully held the China Finals and the International Finals 13 times.It has earned a good reputation among fashionable audiences all around the world, and has been widely praised by the international fashion industry.
